All is Perfect in the iWorld
July 06, 2007
So a bit shy of 24 hours after activation, The Holy iPhone of Jobs beeped and told me my phone number had been ported from Sprint to AT&T. Not bad considering everything I'd read.
Considering something on the order of 500,000 phones came on line in the past week, the minimal amount of problems -- delays over the weekend, EDGE network crash on Monday, a week to get my phone out to me -- I really can't complain much.
There are a few things I'd like to see changed on the iPhone itself -- web messages/notes/etc. capable of being written in landscape mode, user assignable sounds to system events, wallpaper on the home screen also, bluetooth syncing with iTunes / DotMac -- so far the iPhone lives up to my expectations. I'll know more after a few more weeks, but I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

Thank you for keeping me up to date with something I have to wait for until November.

One of God's small miracles, cool. Battery life man? An 80 foot hummern is cool. With a 5 gallon gas tank, what is that? No insinuation, just ignorance. If I play online games, how long will the battery live? Your word will set the standard. We minions stand waiting.

Battery life is pretty good.
Right now, the phone is reading 6hours and 23minutes of usage and 20 hours 36 minutes of standby since the last charge, and there is still a half charge on the battery.
I haven't done a full, active day with it yet -- I've been home the last few days working on a script -- but I'm curious to see how it holds up on a standard day.

Thanks. I'll keep listening for more info. That is my major question on this toy.
