Changing the Locks
March 15, 2007
Things have gotten rocky at my friend Sean's BrentCorrigan.Com website. (Link Not Safe For Work.)
Sean's recent post outlining what had been going on behind the scenes at his adult comapany was pulled the other night and Sean was subsequently locked out of his blog and the site itself. DeWayne sent me a link to the "deleted" post (which in the interim is now popping up in various spots around the web.)
I checked in with Sean about all of this -- and yes, this time I've made damn sure that I'm not telling any tales out of school or implying any thoughts, feelings, or emotions that aren't true (grin) -- and he confirmed this morning that for several days he was locked out the website that bares his name and likeness.
Sean said he and his backer have a disagreement over the future of his site, its content, as well as a few other details. For several weeks Sean (and his boyfriend, Grant) have been trying to reach some kind of agreement with their backer over those items, but none of the emailed proposals / solutions have, as yet, been returned. The most surprising thing he discovered, he said, was that distribution deals for the content he shot for the site are being finalized and without his participation.
He just let me know that he's been allowed back in to his site, but he no longer has "adminstrator" rights -- everything he posts to his blog is now up for a higher level of approval.
And I thought Hollywood was cut-throat...

Hi Jody yes It is obvious that Brent is being pushed out at BCO. I would point out if DVD's are released (with footage that Brent was never paid for)then he has good grounds for an injunction against distribution. I for one will no longer have anything to to with BCO or Brent's blog.It is obvious to everyone Brent is being maneuvered out of his own company! Since he is no longer in control of HIS BLOG and has no input at BCO then I believe fan participation at "Brents Blog" should be suspended. I also believe no fan in his right mind would subscribe to BCO! You will not be seeing new content. And if its all going to be on DVD WHAT EXACTLY are you buying? I have no interest at this point in contributing ONE THIN DIME to Lee Bergeron and "Brent Corrigan Online" if the Boy behind the NAME has "been cut out of the Action" Hmm sounds like it may be time for www.BrentCorriganOnlineSUCKS.com to make an official debut! D, I can understand your feelings. I don't really watch his stuff as it's just... odd... to watch a friend do... that...
The big thing though is to see what Brent works out with his backer. Maybe the two (three, including Grant) can work out an agreement and put all of this behind them. Time will tell.
