After much adieu, I finally got all of the footage re-imported to my machine. Thanks to the new Core 2 Duo processor and graphics card, my iMac sucked the HDV footage right up. Now, I've got to see if I can re-link everything in the old project files to the re-imported footage or start that part over from scratch too. I've got to get a draft of this short done. It's been hanging over my head for too long.
Update 10/6/09:
Frack. Footage re-imported fine, but the auto-detect of time code breaks works out differently between DV and HDV project settings. (Different device controllers and compression codecs?) I'm going to have to use the DV breaks as a guide to label the HDV footage -- all done by hand. That's going to take time. I dunno if I'm going to get my new draft of Tell Me done by Halloween. Motherfracker.
