Why they Fight (Evolution)
June 01, 2006

Just like I thought:

If Darwinism is accepted as true, we have no choice but to accept that the Christian understanding of created and fallen man is just a pious fable, a myth intended to assign personal agency to a universe that has none. And if the nature of man is a fable, so must be the Incarnation.
Superstition is a great and powerful thing.

I personally am fine with Darwinism, and I'm a christian.

If you're trying to explain the universe and the creation of everything to a child, do you start with dark matter, atoms, plate techtonics, the way protons work with electrons, and on and on even with what we now call evolution? Or do you give a general overview of the whole thing, puting it into words and images that they can comprehend?

Assuming God did create all of this, this entire universe, and you and me, and each strand of our DNA -- compared to God our intellect and understanding is comparable to that of a child.

So Darwinism, in my belief and understanding, does nothing to go against a personal God. For me it just reinforces it even more.
