Given the recently reported fact that PG films made $200 million more last year than R rated movies Bob Yexley seeems to think this is something significant.
What's that telling you Hollywood movie-making big-shots? People are tired of the violent, smutty trash you keep trying to force on us. The numbers don't lie, right?Wrong. A $200 million dollar difference in revenues is the cost of production and marketing of two average size summer movies. That R rated films made $2.1 billion tells you how popular those movies are releative to PG ones. The audience for R rated films is significantly smaller, as the most frequent and most lucrative movie going audience is the under-18, young male crowd.
