Water... Water.. -Gulp-
At this point, the only thing "...absolutely inadvisable and imprudent, and from the pastoral point of view, very risky..." is is the freakin Catholic Church itself. The continued efforts of the entire Roman Catholic Church to blame its troubles on gay people, in light of the most damning evidence imaginable of systematic, deliberate and willful abuse and subsequent cover-ups by priests and cardinals of every persuasion, philosophy, flavor or orientation, would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. The rot, friends, extends from here to Rome. It's what happens when you "authorize a group of people to supervise your conscience and your relationship to God, you are likely to find that you have created a brotherhood of monsters."
Power is vested in the hands of a few who answer to no one but an Invisible Santa Claus, is a recipe for destruction, be it of ego, spirit or life. It does nothing but accentuate the worst of our egos, our hubris and our naked proclivities for power and dominance. The sooner we are rid of this conceit, in all its forms, be they secular or religious, the better off we Humans will be.
Heavens-to-betsy. Is that fiddling I hear? It's hard to be sure, what with all this smoke and fire.
