This has got to be the dumbest, most ass backward example of "progress" I've ever heard of:
Marvel debuts gay comic book hero
In a move that will create the first-ever gay title character of a comic book, Marvel Comics will debut "The Rawhide Kid: Slap Leather," a reincarnation of the comic icon that first made the scene in 1955 and had a decent run when Western-themed comics held more popularity.
"Slap Leather?"
