Well, it's "awesome" if you agree with the prevailing opinion of the warbloggers, which is something along the lines of "nuke all the ragheads now or else."

My own problem with it is that any attempt to forcast what western culture will look like in more than about 3 years is going to basically be crap. Could you have predicted now standing in 1990? And holy sh*t! When did 1990 become 12 years ago?!?

V-man -- What got me was the endless war. There was no "victory," just an unceasing destruction of anything different, with an attending loss of personal freedom within the US. When I read about Ashcroft and his damn TIPS system or Bush's OHS that will be free of civil service rules, then I get NZ's point.
