So if we a)penetrated Al Queda before 9/11, b)surveiled many of the prospective terrorists involved in the plot and c)had "average" FBI agent types that figured out something bad was about to happen and then tried to get someone important to listen, can someone explain to me why the Federal Government needs even more power and ability to circumvent civil liberties in order to "protect" us?
