Yahoo! News - Teacher fired after staging 'Laramie' play
The man in charge of Brevard Community College's theater arts program was fired after "The Laramie Project" was presented at the college..Robert Hatch was told, however, his contract would be renewed one week after the student production of the play, about the killing of Matthew Shepard and the way the town of Laramie reacted to it.
The college will not comment on whether there is a connection.
